MU Team Wins 1st in 2009 Clarion Competition

Congratulations to HMI's Sahil Hebbar and the University of Missouri team for winning the Clarion National Case Analysis Competition, held at the University of Minnesota on April 4th!! The students representing the University of Missouri were:

  • Wesley Trueblood, Medicine
  • Cindy Thomas, Public Health
  • Jennifer Dine, Nursing
  • Sahil Hebbar, Health Management and Informatics

Final results for the competition were:

  • First Place: University of Missouri
  • Second Place: University of Minnesota
  • Third Place: Dartmouth College

The Clarion National Case Analysis Competition promotes interprofessional leadership development and focuses attention on enhancing health care quality and safety. The team was sponsored by the Center for Health Care Quality and the Department of Health Management & Informatics in the School of Medicine, the Sinclair School of Nursing, and the School of Health Professions. HMI's Bob DeGraaff served as the lead faculty advisor for the University of Missouri interprofessional team.
