Dana Evans, MHA (2007) Receives Service Award
Dana Evans (MHA 2007) was awarded the Craig A. Ziegelbein Service Award at the 41st Annual Missouri Society for Respiratory Care (MSRC) Annual Conference on April 25, 2012.
The award is bestowed by the Missouri Society for Respiratory Care, the state-wide chapter of the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC)-- the premier professional organization for respiratory care providers internationally. The purpose of the award is to honor an individual, who over a long and sustained period has contributed to the advancement and support of the respiratory therapy community in the State of Missouri. The award is named for Craig A. Ziegelbein, who through his position as a former sales representative for Tri-anim, was respected for dedication to his job, organizational skills, leadership, and commitment to taking care of his customers. Nominees for the award exhibit qualities of leadership and service to the respiratory therapy community in the state of Missouri.
Ms. Evans is currently employed as the Respiratory Care Supervisor for Children's Services at Mercy Hospital-St. Louis. She is currently serving as the Vice President-Elect and Education Committee Chair for the Missouri Society for Respiratory Care (MSRC) and in the past has served as Director at Large and District III Vice President. Ms. Evans also served as the Program Committee Co-chair for this year's MSRC Annual Conference organizing 17+ hours of courses for continuing respiratory education with exciting lectures from nationally recognized speakers; social events; and vendor showcases and sponsorships. The conference was hugely successful and was attended by nearly 500 respiratory care professionals from the State of Missouri.
Ms. Evans completed her Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy in 2001 and her Master's degree in Healthcare Administration in 2007, both from the University of Missouri. She has a professional license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the State of Missouri.
