Overview

Dr. Min Soon Kim is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Health Management and Informatics at the University of Missouri at Columbia. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include Information needs analysis of stake holders in health care, health information technology evaluation, public health informatics and clinical research informatics. Prior to joining to HMI, he has served as a research fellow at the Center for Biomedical Informatics, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NYC, NY. Prior to postdoctoral experience, he spent seven years conducting his doctoral research, in which he focused on a range of topics in support of an algorithm design for cost-effective, computational aids for evidence-based medical decisions regarding breast cancer treatment. This work was done in direct collaboration with the Plastic Surgeons and Behavioral Scientists at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
